The Friday Pretty: Crushes of the Week

Harambee brothers and sisters! How are you all doing? Are you well? Are you fed? Are you warm? Praises! It’s Friday, you know. I’d like to apologise unreservedly for last week’s no-show – blame extra work and extra tiredness. But be assured that even during the quiet weeks, when the hot dudes are thin on the (blog) ground, the perving never sleeps. Never. And so, it’s time to kick off your shoes (Odour-Eaters permitting, obvs), relax your neck and perv for all you’re worth – it’s The Friday Pretty!

We begin the show with a special shout-out to lovely Anna, whose love for Paul Rudd is everlasting and legendary. She has worked through his imdb listing (we’re going to see Our Idiot Brother when it comes out), she has kept photos I’ve torn out of magazines for her. She really loves Paul Rudd. And why shouldn’t she? He’s a hell of a man – so twinkly, so funny, so damn charming. Also, he fine!

Next up, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. TFP makes no bones (heh) about loving JGL. He is superb, and if you don’t agree, THEN YOUR OPINION IS WRONG. Here he is singing in a suit in French. Here he is in an upcoming film about cancer (50/50 been described as “Oscar-worthy, y’all) . And TFP is pretty sure there’s an image of him somewhere on the internet in which he is rescuing an old lady and a cat from a fire, while his cape billows in the wind. Just… he’s too much.

Another young fellow doing well at the moment is Ryan Gosling, another TFP favourite. You know how you know someone’s hot? Take a look at the poster for his latest movie, Drive, in which he’s sporting a bruised face and a satin bomber jacket. Yes, TFP will repeat that: A. Satin. Bomber. Jacket. You can’t pull that off unless you have reserves of superhotness to fall back on. TFP admires Gosling’s wilingness to put vanity aside and wear a ridiculous garment – it makes TFP think it can finally wear that flesh-toned jumpsuit in public again. Maybe on a date with Ryan? Hello? Hel–? OK, call me back whenever you can!

Finally, since this week’s gallery seems to have all of TFP‘s all-time faves, why not throw in a little bit of John Cho? TFP forgets exactly who it was who alerted it to the existence of A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, (“I shot Santa Claus in the face. He’s real and I shot him in the face.”) but TFP thanks you. Yeah, that’s right – it’s Harold time:

Time to go. Enjoy the show and come back next week, y’hear?
